Mute swans originated from Europe and brought to North America to fill public parks and large estates. Michigan has the highest population of Mute swans in the United States.
These birds can pose danger to people, especially young children. Mute swans will not hesitate attack humans on their watercraft and on shores. Native birds are often driven out of their habitat by these aggressive birds, even going so far as killing other birds. Not only are these birds violent in nature, but they also deplete plant life by overfeeding on pond weed, water weed, wild rice, and wild celery.

Asian carp are native to Asia, hence their name.
Asian carp shares the same diet as native carp, in addition to their large size, they also have a high rate of reproduction. This means Asian Carp can severely disrupt the Great Lakes food-web and cause local fish such as walleye, yellow perch, and lake whitefish populations to diminish.
